– Lighted Christmas Parade
In 1993, two years after the fire at the Page County Courthouse in Clarinda, this parade has remained a tradition to thank the area fire departments that successfully keep our community safe. The parade is co-sponsored by the Clarinda Chamber of Commerce and the Clarinda Kiwanis Club. Each year, a different theme is given so participants can show their imagination with their floats. After the parade children are able to visit Santa Claus at Santa’s House located on the lawn of Page County Courthouse.

-Southwest Iowa Band Jamboree
Clarinda’s Longest Musical Tradition is co-sponsored by the Clarinda Chamber of Commerce, Clarinda Community Schools and the City of Clarinda. Every year it draws over 50 schools from Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska which are judged in both parade & field marching in the daylong competition.

– Tourism
Promote and encourage tourism in Clarinda through projects, initiatives and/or events that are likely to generate visitors to our area.
