The Shenandoah Hills Wind Energy Center is a proposed 246-megawatt (MW) wind power generation facility in Page and Fremont Counties. Wind energy is clean, renewable power from one of the oldest known energy sources, and today it is one of the cheapest. Iowa produces more of our electricity from wind than any other source. Iowa ranks first in the nation for wind energy as a share of total electricity generation and is on a path to 100% renewable energy.
