Lisle Corporation

Since 1903, this family owned business has called Clarinda home. The 250 employees of Lisle Corporation produce automotive specialty tools and OEM parts for the aerospace, automotive, equipment and machinery industries. President Fred Lisle relates his feelings about Lisle employees, “Lisle Corporation has greatly benefited from the excellent work force here in Clarinda. Manufacturer & Distributor of EZ Products

EZ Way is a family-owned company with manufacturing operations headquartered in Clarinda, Iowa. Since 1994 EZ Way has had one mission: develop, market and service the highest quality and most functional patient transferring equipment in the industry. EZ Way was moved to Clarinda in 2003 by Lisle Corporation and has experienced tremendous growth since that time.

NSK Corporation and NSK-AKS

NSK (a Japanese owned ball bearing manufacturer) first located in Clarinda in 1975. Since then, NSK has expanded its Clarinda operation 16 times. In 1988, NSK formed a joint venture with AKS (a Japanese steel ball manufacturer) to produce steel balls. Today, more than 300 employees work for these two international businesses. The City of Clarinda and Iowa Western Community College have been very cooperative during all of the expansion projects. NSK-AKS and the community of Clarinda are truly partners.

Clarinda Correctional Facility

Originally known as the Clarinda Mental Health Institute, has evolved into a multi- functional state facility that now includes a correctional facility that share many services with the former Clarinda Academy. A 750 bed medium security prison was opened on the campus in 1996. Clarinda was awarded this facility by the State of Iowa in a highly competitive bidding process because of the hard work and cooperation of the community leaders and the staff.

H & H Trailers by Novae

H&H Trailers, LLC manufacturers a wide variety of trailers for recreational and industrial needs. Recently purchased by Novae Corporation, H&H employees over 190 individuals who help manufacture and distribute open and enclosed trailers to a network of over 100 dealers in the U.S. and Canada. Selection ranges from 5′ x 8′ utility trailers up to 40′ steel Hi-deck trailers, 5′ x 8′ golf car trailers up to 8.5′ x 24′ aluminum flatbeds and tiltbed models, and smooth-skin side cargo trailers ranging from 5′ x 8′ to 101” x 30′.

Clarinda Regional Health Center

CRHC takes a great  deal of pride in the facilities and equipment we invest in to empower our staff to deliver the best care to patients. Through our hospital in Clarinda, and clinics in Clarinda, Bedford and Villisca, CRHC provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency care to central and eastern Page and western and central Taylor counties, portions of Montgomery and Adams counties in Iowa, as well as several communities in NW Missouri. The hospital also provides regional Emergency Medical Services throughout our service area.

CRHC is a not-for-profit, municipal hospital. The hospital is governed by a five member, publicly-elected Board of Trustees. The hospital receives no direct funding from taxes from the City of Clarinda, but rather supports itself through efficient management of resources. Our hospital is a designated by Medicare as a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) which means it receives reimbursement from Medicare based on the cost of delivering services to Medicare beneficiaries.
