Page County Courthouse

Erected in 1885, this native red brick building occupies the center of town on the original 1853 town plat as the “public block”. The courthouse was damaged extensively by a 1991 fire and has been restored to its original beauty, including the clock tower. The courthouse is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday for business or tours.

Nodaway Valley Historical Museum

Your visit to the Nodaway Valley Museum can take you back more than a century to when the Midwest was being developed with schools, businesses, farming, homes, etc. Also, see the development of 4-H throughout the years in Page County, Goldenrod School, and Brokaw FFA House. Open 1-4 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday.

Page County Freedom Rock

Clarinda serves as the home of the Freedom Rock for Page County and is located at the Nodaway Valley Historical Museum. It is a unique memorial to all who have served our country.

Glenn Miller Birthplace Home & Museum

Born in 1904, Glenn Miller spent the first years of his life in this Clarinda home. Visit the original birthplace of Glenn Miller and learn the fascinating story of his life and music. The home and museum are open for touring 1-3 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday.

Clarinda Carnegie Art Museum

The Carnegie Art Museum features the extensive international art collection of Robert & Karen Duncan among other collectors. There is a variety of art in all forms including sculpture, photography, paintings and interactive displays. The museum is free to the public and open 1-6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Clarinda Promenade

This leisurely 20 block tour features 14 historic buildings around the Clarinda boulevard.You may pick up a map at the Chamber office at 115 East Main Street.

Clarinda A's Collegiate Baseball Team

Baseball has a strong tradition in Clarinda. College players form all over the United States get a taste of pre-pro experience while playing in the MINK League summer baseball program from June to August. Some even get to the majors, including Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, Von Hayes, Bud Black, Darrell Miller, Mark Williamson, and Chuck Knoblauch.

Clarinda Lied Center

The Lied Center is a munincipal recreational facility which offers indoor swimming, a gymnasium, racquetball court, weight and exercise room, community walking trail, senior citizens center, and a full program of activities for all ages.

Clarinda Hawley's Opera House Mural

The mural was painted by artist, Kelly Poling, featuring the former Hawley’s Opera House that used to be located in the building. The mural has created a beautiful focal point for the downtown area in preserving Clarinda’s historical culture.

A locally owned corporation founded in 1903. Produces automotive specialty tools and the famous “Jeeper Creeper”. EZ Way, Inc. manufactures lifts, stands and repositioners for patient’s safety.

H&H Trailers manufactures a variety of light to medium duty trailers from utility, car hauler, equipment and dump trailers to enclosed trailers with a variety of size options. Since 1993, H&H has been proudly manufacturing trailers in Southwest Iowa for hauling needs throughout the United States and Canada.
